Now I know you all are probably expecting me to say Pauline, but I think the one I've just kind of enjoyed the most would be Andy from Advance Wars, which is Doctor Mario and an army of tiny Snakes who all get one free heal when they're low on health. The absurdity of it all had me laughing out loud during the fight ehehehehe

The Rayman fight made me smile. Or it did the first time I attempted it. The 76th time not so much.
There were some Pikmin battles that I really enjoyed. Brittany and Charlie showed up inhabiting Alph's body, and Charlie even got to be an NPC! That's fantastic and it makes me happy as a Pikmin fan.

Idk I beat Rayman on my first try, but struggle with other fights that people seem to find easy. Must be a combination of who you're playing as and your style of approaching fights.

Ness's Dad was my favorite spirit battle bar none. Buzz Buzz was hilarious also. K. Rool's spirit battle was really faithful to the game, though it's not exactly the most creative thing ever, being basically just adapted from his moveset. I guess my favorite aspect of these is seeing just how many characters actually ARE in Smash that aren't even playable; spirits like Bulborb and Alfonso and Toad (a Peach that spams grabs where a new toad animation comes into play in a cool way) that show that Smash really is sort of a massive undertaking with a lot of thought into every detail.

No love for my man Funky? Or the fact that Candy is represented by Bayonetta? (Just seeing that on the Spirit battle intro screen may well have made me laugh harder than anything else in the game.)
Seconded hard on the Pikmin battles, and the way they reunited the Castlevania III crew was seriously clever, even by World of Light standards. The fact that they managed to not only simulate a battle with Suicune, Entei, and Raikou but simultaneously reenact their tragic backstories, though, might just take the cake (at least barring the ones I had to have explained to me later, like the Ness's Dad or Advance Wars ones).

So far it has to be Cranky Kong. I'm sure he relished reliving his days as DK Sr. until he got destroyed by a yoga instructor. Playing it on a loving recreation of the DKC map screen was just icing on the cake.

Have you done the DK Jr fight? That's also fun. Can we take this as tacit confirmation that "Giant Donkey Kong" is, in fact, a revitalized Donkey Kong Sr?
