I might have to get the Gamecube adapter. I've been playing with the pro controller, but I'll have to try out how a GCN controller feels after all this time

Sadly I won't be able to play this game until it arrives in the mail a week or so from now. Edit: Also, why is my name in lower case? I capitalized it when I registered. Weird. Your account name is different than your display name, as you can have one global account for all freeforums forums, but different display names on each one. You can go edit it in your profile settings.

Hmm, I read it as "characters new to the series" which, I mean, they'd have to be, considering every playable character in the series is already in Some of the people I would have liked are already Assists, so that's unfortunate, but I don't think we need rule out anyone already represented purely by spirits.

Don't mind at all! And welcome! We're happy to play host while you're getting the technical issues sorted (I know how much of a pain forum backend stuff can be) In the mean time, I'm lacking sleep, as I stayed up way later than intended playing this last night. It's better than I ever hoped for, and then some edit: on second thought, I've created a dedicated Smash subforum. Have at it yall!

DK3 G&W came out about a month before DK Circus did, which came out two months prior to DK Hockey! 1984 was a good year

Have you played the tabletop version of Donkey Kong Jr? It's quite interesting, with some vibrant colors (for the time) as well as balloons, parasols, and multi-layer platforming

Don't know if Pauline will put in an appearance, but it's nice to see the city already becoming a staple location once again

Does anyone have a scan of this page? Digging through my old scans, I think this is the bit in question. If it's not I can go figure out where I put the guide and track it down.

I found this interesting on the main site: www.dkgirder.com/20141006.htmlDoes anyone have a scan of this page? It would be good information to add to the various Mario / DK wikis. Thanks in advance! I own the guide in question and was the one who originally translated that snippet! Gimme a few hours and I can get the page scanned for you

continuing my childhood love affair of mashing lizards into Lewis Carollian worlds that began with Chameleon Twist, a new(!) game came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System this year called Lizard. And jesus it's weird.
Watch me muddle through countless deaths, miserly coin collecting, generally confusedness, two bosses, and the occasional coughing fit while my viewers were doing laundry.
Anyway, yeah, NEW NES GAME!

shit, man :/ www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php...ll=1#post946633Quote from the Twin Galaxies thread above: TLDR: Billy's been submitting Tool-Assisted runs as "live" "machine" scores, and the judge who had been "validating" them was Todd Rogers, the guy was just recently proven to have been fabricating all his old Atari records and kicked out of the scorebooks and has apparently been helping Billy fake his records. This is actually super disappointing, as while Billy has done the occasional shady stuff, he seemed like he was at least genuinely trying to be a decent guy, and is genuinely good at videogames to a degree more than you or I ever will be. King of Kong shows him in a rather bad light, but it is well known to be edited to make a better drama, and other documentaries paint a more well-rounded picture of a guy who is, yes, a bit full of himself, but tries to help out around the high-score community, help people work on their strategies, and be a face of events even if he doesn't actually like being a public person all that much. So to find out that he's been outright cheating, doctoring his runs, and getting a crooked admin to help him pull it off... Woof.
